The EPlus examination is introduced by a group of senior educationists in Sri Lanka to address a serious social and educational issue faced by the younger generation. It has been observed that there are more than 4900 small scale private ICT and computer science education institutions all around the country and great majority of them are poorly managed.
The survival period of most of these institutions is short and varies from 6 months to two or three years at the most. Hence, students who study in these places loose the recognition and credibility of the certificates awarded by these institutions after some time due to the fact that they may no longer be in existence. Therefore, the E PLUS examination offers the opportunity to any institution in the ICT academic field to educate its students towards the examination and to offer an assurance that they will have a highly recognised certificate at the end of their course.

EPlus exams meet the national standard of examinations in Sri Lanka and It is jointly certified by the Skills Development Fund Limited and IDM Nations Campus.
